Tayto Theme Park in Ashbourne is a modern and well run activity park with an excellent programme of activities for kids and is an unforgettable day out for the whole family.

Tayto have turned 55 acres of farmland into an American-themed park which is one of the first themed parks of its kind in Ireland with over 100 attractions. At Tayto Park they have an abundance of facilities to make your visit to them more enjoyable. The park and play area guarantees hours of fun for all the family.  The full visitor experience takes approximately 4.5 hours from start to finish.

There are three separate play areas in Tayto Park; enjoy the craic of the Pow Wow Playground, the exhilarating Eagle Sky Adventure Zone and of course there’s Tiny Taters Patch for all the younger spuds.

The Tiny Taters Patch

This area is especially for the under 6s. It includes a spiral climbing hill, a mini maze and a playground for little ones.

The Pow Wow Playground

This is suitable for slightly older children, complete with lots of equipment to climb, swing on and slide down.

The Eagle Sky Adventure Zone

Exhilarating high ropes course, climbing wall and Jumpers aimed for the more adventurous kids and teens and possibly a parent or two!

Pet-Tayto Corner

Some animals you’ll be familiar with are waiting to say hi in Pet-Tayto Corner! Rabbits, ducks, and geese to name a few, and some more unusual faces like Wild Turkeys and Peacocks.

The Buffalo Ridge

Tayto Park is home for 15 years to Ireland’s first herd of American Bison. Over 20 buffalo roam the plains at Tayto Park, here they graze on the nutritious grasslands.

Tayto Plains

Welcome to the Plains only a stroll away from all the action and you will find yourself where the rare breed farm animals graze they include Dexter cattle, Jacob sheep, Vietnamese pot bellied pigs, miniature donkeys, and of course, our now legendary herd of buffalo.

The Lodge Restaurant

This has everything hungry spuds need to recharge their batteries from snacks, soup and sandwiches to gourmet home cooked food. Sit outside with a hot chocolate, enjoying the lake-side vista from our beautifully landscaped terrace.

Teahouse in the Tree House

There aren’t many other places where you can grab a cup of tea in a tree! Built in the bows of Grand Old Oakley a tree that generations of young Tayto chislers have climbed, swung on and fallen out of. With platforms, rope bridges and a real Tree House full of sweet treats and home-made ice-cream,it’s a great place to hang out and get a bird’s eye view of Tayto Park.

Walkways

Sit by the relaxing waters of Cool Lough and Potato Falls, make a wish at Dream Catcher Falls or simply stroll along walkways and woodlands.  Learn about the numerous plant life and animals or sit back and listen to a band at the Grand Bandstand.

Tayto Factory Tour

Come and see how the nation’s favourite crisps are made and learn all the guarded secrets from Mr.Tayto himself.  Here you will get to see the inside of The Tayto Factory and see the full process of how the crisps and snacks are made. (available on Sunday only).
